Spectacle of wonder after the rain
Rainbows are formed when sunlight at a specific angle is refracted and reflected by moisture in the air. These moisture droplets act as tiny prisms, bending and dispersing the light into its constituent colors.
These phenomena have captivated humans {and perhaps other primates} throughout time, evoking a sense of awe and wonder with their vibrance.
The occurrence tends to instill a deep sense of wonder and remind us of the extraordinary beauty present in the natural world.
Many people also associate seeing these fleeting moments with feelings of spirituality, emotion and a connection to something greater than themselves.
