Is The Graffiti Wall
One Of Fame Or Shame?

Fame or Shame
There is mixed emotion when finding these colorful stainings during nature walks.
The meaning and readability of many, like the ones above, are lost from my view but the view is not lost in my eyes.
Their authorship details are only known to a select few within the underground community, so I am unable to give the artists a credit here.
Perhaps the most prominent artist with global recognition, is ‘Banksy‘.
The identity of this individual is still clouded in mystery and doubt.
Artistic [ √ ] – Clever [ √ ] and I could tick many other boxes.
Thoughtful, provocative, even insightful – inspirational, and sometimes with profound statements.
Public street-art gallery
Toronto has a graffiti ally called Rush Lane – near China Town.
It is one of the few places where legal street art can be found.
This post does not include any content from that gallery.
Finding graffiti along nature walks I label obtrusive.
These are walls of shame.
Going to a place where the art is expected, I can browse, respect and admire the walls of fame.
It has its place.
Please… not in nature!

Canadian Law regarding graffiti is similar to many other countries, its considered vandalism. Criminal charges can be costly!
Origins
The origins of street-art must have a path to the glyphs found across the continents.
From the earliest cave dwellers, these etchings are found depicting the need for visual expression; which includes language, local life-forms and even images from the mind.
Modern man has learned greatly from bygone eras through these depictions.

The powerful need for visual expression
Understanding this need to portray is behind my personal need to express through this website.
This medium satisfies my desire.
It’s not graffiti, but represents my wall.
The tree carving below must have satisfied Nick and Jen’s need also.
I wish them all the best.
It was their moment to mark expression.
